Patient Services
Acute Care Units
Lubbock Heart Hospital has three Acute Care units, one of which is treated as “short stay” for outpatient procedures. In all, there are 58 beds in Acute Care. The staff is extensively trained and qualified in the treatment of cardiovascular disease. The LHH staff is a combination of highly-trained nursing staff, consisting of registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, monitor technicians, unit secretaries and nursing assistants. LHH strives to achieve a 1-to-4 nurse-to-patient ratio as a standard of excellence set by the American Nursing Association.
Coronary Critical Care Unit
Lubbock Heart Hospital’s Coronary Critical Care Unit is a state-of-the-art 16-bed unit, specializing in advanced cardiac care. Highly-qualified staff is available to care for you and your family. All of our staff is specialized in cardiovascular care and are highly professional. Each CCCU room is private, quiet and provides our patients with a view to our facility’s courtyard. Much like the acute care units, CCCU has set its goals for patient care. Its standard of excellence is set at a 1-to-1, or a 1-to-2 nurse-to-patient ratio, depending on the needs of the patient. The care of the patient is individualized according to the need of the patient.
